Social Networking Guide
Many web savvy social networkers typically have multiple profiles scattered across the web on several large web communities. This is why we have taken the initiative to allow BandPumpers to link their profile on BandPump to their profiles on other social networks, we call this deep networking.
In this guide we will give brief tutorials on how you can go about linking up your BandPump profile to each social network.
Blog Catalog
Step 1: Visit BlogCatalog.com. If you already have an account, then log in - if not you will need to create one.
Step 2: Once you are logged in, click on the "Profile" link near the top right of the page to be taken to your profile.
Step 3: Now that you're on your profile, you need to look at the current web URL in the navigation pane of your browser. The URL should look something like: http://www.blogcatalog.com/user/BandPump
(of course with your user name at the end instead of BandPump's).
Step 4: Copy your user name from the navigation pane and visit the networks tab from your edit profile section on BandPump. Find the text field next to Blog Catalog and paste in your user name. Click the "Submit" button, and you're done!
Del.icio.us
Step 1: Visit del.icio.us. If you already have an account, then log in - if not you will need to create one.
Step 2: Once you are logged in, you will automatically be taken to your profile. You need to look at the current web URL in the navigation pane of your browser. The URL should look something like: http://del.icio.us/BandPump
(of course with your user name at the end instead of BandPump's).
Step 3: Copy your user name from the navigation pane and visit the networks tab from your edit profile section on BandPump. Find the text field next to Del.icio.us and paste in your user name. Click the "Submit" button, and you're done!
Digg
Step 1: Visit Digg.com. If you already have an account, then log in - if not you will need to create one.
Step 2: Once you are logged in, click on the "My Profile" link on the top of the page.
Step 3: Now that you're on your profile, you need to look at the current web URL in the navigation pane of your browser. The URL should look something like: http://digg.com/users/BandPump
(of course with your user name at the end instead of BandPump's).
Step 4: Copy your user name from the navigation pane and visit the networks tab from your edit profile section on BandPump. Find the text field next to Digg and paste in your user name. Click the "Submit" button, and you're done!
Step 1: Visit Facebook.com. If you already have an account, then log in - if not you will need to create one.
Step 2: Once you are logged in, click on the "Profile" link on the top of the page, next to the Facebook logo on the left.
Step 3: Now that you're on your profile, you need to look at the current web URL in the navigation pane of your browser. The URL should look something like: http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1009009699
(of course with your unique ID at the end instead of BandPump's).
Step 4: Copy your unique id from the navigation pane and visit the networks tab from your edit profile section on BandPump. Find the text field next to Facebook and paste in your full unique id number. Click the "Submit" button, and you're done!
Flickr
Step 1: Visit Flickr.com. If you already have an account, then log in - if not you will need to create one.
Step 2: Once you are logged in, click on the top menu option that says "You", this will take you to your profile page.
Step 3: Now that you're on your profile, you need to look at the current web URL in the navigation pane of your browser. The URL should look something like: http://www.flickr.com/photos/23602787@N04
(of course with your unique ID at the end instead of BandPump's).
Step 4: Copy your unique id from the navigation pane and visit the networks tab from your edit profile section on BandPump. Find the text field next to Flickr and paste in your full unique id number. Click the "Submit" button, and you're done!
My Blog Log
Step 1: Visit Mybloglog.com. If you already have an account, then log in - if not you will need to create one.
Step 2: Once you are logged in, you will immediately be taken to your profile. You'll need to look at the current web URL in the navigation pane of your browser. The URL should look something like: http://www.mybloglog.com/buzz/members/BandPump
(of course with your user name at the end instead of BandPump's).
Step 3: Copy your user name from the navigation pane and visit the networks tab from your edit profile section on BandPump. Find the text field next to My Blog Log and paste in your full user name. Click the "Submit" button, and you're done!
Myspace
Step 1: Visit Myspace.com. If you already have an account, then log in - if not you will need to create one.
Step 2: Once you are logged in, you will immediately be taken to your profile. You will see a link that says "Profile" under the page theme area inside of the "View My:" area. Click on that link to view your profile.
Step 3: Now that you're on your profile, you need to look at the current web URL in the navigation pane of your browser. The URL should look something like: http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=205745700
(of course with your unique "friend" ID at the end instead of BandPump's).
Step 4: Copy your unique friend ID from the navigation pane and visit the networks tab from your edit profile section on BandPump. Find the text field next to Myspace and paste in your full unique friend ID number. Click the "Submit" button, and you're done!
Orkut
Step 1: Visit Orkut.com. If you already have an account, then log in - if not you will need to create one.
Step 2: Once you are logged in, click on the left menu option that says "Profile", this will take you to your profile page.
Step 3: Now that you're on your profile, you need to look at the current web URL in the navigation pane of your browser. The URL should look something like: http://www.orkut.com/Profile.aspx?uid=10101164631255077638
(of course with your unique ID at the end instead of BandPump's).
Step 4: Copy your unique id from the navigation pane and visit the networks tab from your edit profile section on BandPump. Find the text field next to Orkut and paste in your full unique id number. Click the "Submit" button, and you're done!
Spicy Page
Step 1: Visit Spicypage.com. If you already have an account, then log in - if not you will need to create one.
Step 2: Once you are logged in, click on the "My Account" tab at the top of the page. Next click on the "View My Profile" link in the left menu under the "My Profile" links.
Step 3: Now that you're on your profile, you need to look at the current web URL in the navigation pane of your browser. The URL should look something like: http://www.spicypage.com/search.cfm?section=search&segment=profile&profile_id=7810

Step 4: Copy your unique profile id from the navigation pane and visit the networks tab from your edit profile section on BandPump. Find the text field next to Spicy Page and paste in your full unique profile id number. Click the "Submit" button, and you're done!
Stumble Upon
Step 1: Visit Stumbleupon.com. If you already have an account, then log in - if not you will need to create one.
Step 2: Once you are logged in, click on the "Home" tab at the top of the page.
Step 3: Now that you're on your profile, you need to look at the current web URL in the navigation pane of your browser. The URL should look something like: http://bandpump.stumbleupon.com/home
(of course with your user name at the begining instead of BandPump's).
Step 4: Copy your user name from the navigation pane and visit the networks tab from your edit profile section on BandPump. Find the text field next to Stumble Upon and paste in your user name. Click the "Submit" button, and you're done!
Technorati
Step 1: Visit Technorati.com. If you already have an account, then log in - if not you will need to create one.
Step 2: Once you are logged in, click on your user name in the top menu bar.
Step 3: Now that you're on your profile, you need to look at the current web URL in the navigation pane of your browser. The URL should look something like: http://www.technorati.com/people/technorati/BandPump
(of course with your user name at the end instead of BandPump's).
Step 4: Copy your user name from the navigation pane and visit the networks tab from your edit profile section on BandPump. Find the text field next to Technorati and paste in your user name. Click the "Submit" button, and you're done!
Step 1: Visit Twitter.com. If you already have an account, then log in - if not you will need to create one.
Step 2: Once you are logged in, click on your the "your profile" link on the top of the right side menu.
Step 3: Now that you're on your profile, you need to look at the current web URL in the navigation pane of your browser. The URL should look something like: http://twitter.com/BandPump
(of course with your user name at the end instead of BandPump's).
Step 4: Copy your user name from the navigation pane and visit the networks tab from your edit profile section on BandPump. Find the text field next to Twitter and paste in your user name. Click the "Submit" button, and you're done!
Windows Live
Step 1: Visit spaces.live.com. If you already have an account, then log in - if not you will need to create one.
Step 2: Once you are logged in, click on "Spaces" in the top menu and then on "Your Space" in the sub-menu.
Step 3: Now that you're on your profile, you need to look at the current web URL in the navigation pane of your browser. The URL should look something like: http://cid-9f6349668afea7be.spaces.live.com
(of course with your unique id at the begining instead of BandPump's).
Step 4: Copy your unique id (including the "cid-" portion) from the navigation pane and visit the networks tab from your edit profile section on BandPump. Find the text field next to Windows Live and paste in your unique id number. Click the "Submit" button, and you're done!
YouTube
Step 1: Visit Youtube.com. If you already have an account, then log in - if not you will need to create one.
Step 2: Once you are logged in, click on your user name at the top of the page to the right of the logo.
Step 3: Now that you're on your profile, you need to look at the current web URL in the navigation pane of your browser. The URL should look something like: http://youtube.com/user/BandPump
(of course with your user name at the end instead of BandPump's).
Step 4: Copy your user name from the navigation pane and visit the networks tab from your edit profile section on BandPump. Find the text field next to YouTube and paste in your unique id number. Click the "Submit" button, and you're done!
